Daniel 11:45
And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
In the book of Daniel, we see prophecy of the future kingdoms that were to come. Most of them have already come and gone since the book was written, and history tells the tale. However, there seems to be allusion to a kingdom that has not yet come to power. And this kingdom will likely be the kingdom of the beast, or, as we know him, the Antichrist. He is called “that Wicked,” and “the son of perdition,” and so on. He is a wicked man who will obtain a world-wide kingdom through peaceful diplomacy and flattery. He will give a show that he is a peacemaker and will bring many together, but, once in power, will then turn upon his people, demanding that they worship him as God. He will sit in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. So many will worship him by compulsion. They will have no other choice but to be killed, as Revelation so clearly declares to us. This man will rise, and he will come to power, for the Word of God says so. He will not be thwarted or stopped until it is God’s time. And then, O, and then! In God’s timing and by His great power, he shall come to his end, and none shall help him!
He shall come to his end! Praise God! Glorify Him, ye saints! For God shall surely triumph as He has said! The enemies of the Lord will be as stubble. They shall not stand against God. When the time comes for the saints to possess the Kingdom, the devil and his comrades will lose their iron grip. The god of this world shall be cast out, and thrown into the bottomless pit, and the saints shall begin their reign with their Savior. Christ will rule! Christ will be King! And there shall be one Lord and His name one! Everyone will then know who the Lord is, and all nations shall serve Him.
My friends, take encouragement this morning, for all evil shall truly come to an end. I am very happy thinking of this. I am very happy thinking that the forces of evil are only temporary and momentary. They are only for this time being. The devil, the Antichrist, the false prophet, and all other evil of this sinful world will have its time. The world is enjoying a rule right now. Many are bound by the tyranny and despotism of this present world, and they know it not! But may God lift our hearts and minds to a new plane, a new joy, and a new hope. Our hope is in Christ our King! He shall come and save us! And all wickedness, sin, and sorrow shall eventually be no more. Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice in this great truth, ye Christians! And move your eyes off this present, evil, wicked, God-hating, sin-loving world. Look up! Look for Christ! Serve Him in this world till He returns! Love the sinner and the lost, for they need to be delivered from the wrath to come! But every day and every moment, whatever the circumstances facing you may be, rejoice that all things will be made new and holy one day, and all evil will come to an end. Hallelujah!
“Father, this day is a day of praise as we meditate on the truth contained in the book of Daniel. How could we ever praise you enough that all evil shall one day come to an end! None shall help the forces of evil any more! They shall be forever gone. We have a difficult time trying to imagine such a beautiful prospect, but we know it is true. And we eagerly and pantingly look forward to that great day. Keep us faithful and serving you alone until then! We pray and ask these things now in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
