Revelation 16:7
And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
As we look into this great book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, we will see that it is full of the judgments of God. And many of these judgments are of a category and a degree never before seen on the face of the earth, and never to come after. They are of a magnitude that is unmatched. This is the end of all things. The wrath of God that has been stemmed, and restrained, and pent up over the ages because of the longsuffering of God, is now being released with the full potency of its potential. Nothing now is being held back. And these seven angels now pour out their vials, which denote the last seven judgments of God. The men of the earth receive noisome sores, the sea turns to blood, so do the rivers and fountains of waters. The earth brings forth blood! An earthquake more mighty and great than ever seen before hits the cities of the nations, and hail at the weight of a talent falls on men. These are just some of the judgments of the last days. And lest anyone think them unreasonable, the angels themselves begin to declare the righteousness of God through these plagues. They say, “Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus!” And they say, “Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments!” True and righteous! His judgments are true and righteous!
And this is the same conclusion that every human being ought to come to. It is exceedingly improving upon every life that will grasp its veracity—that His judgments always are true and righteous. No matter how they may look to mankind, there is a holy and godly purpose for every one of them. Mankind deserves every bit of the judgment of God. And after the love and mercy of God has been exhibited for many long centuries, His judgments that He shall inflict are of the greatest holiness and righteousness. But, dear friend, let us come to understand that this is the very character of God. In all that He does, He is true and righteous! All His ways are judgment! says king Nebuchadnezzar. We must also believe this implicitly. Our lives must be staked on this great truth!
All His ways are judgment! We may not fully or even partially understand the judgments of God, that is to say, what He chooses to execute—those things that He does and allows. We may look at them from human eyes, and be bewildered and thrown off course. But we must not be! Your life shall forever be exalted to a higher plane if you shall begin to understand that all His ways are judgement. His judgments are true and righteous! Rest in Him! Rest in His will! Rest in His arbitrations and adjudications! Rest in His decisions and His choices. Dear one, do not doubt the Lord, but in every circumstance and in every trial, know that His judgements are true and righteous.
“Father, we confess that we often do not understand those things which your hand does. We have difficulty in lifting ourselves out of our own judgments, our own understanding, and our own ideas. But we must give it all up! All that you do is righteous, holy, and true! May we never doubt that, but simply trust that everything you do is right. What rest this brings! What peace! What joy! Let us live in this peace every day, as we keep our unwavering trust in Thee. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
