Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

There is nothing in this universe more powerful than the gospel. Nothing more impactful! Nothing of greater influence among the forces of this world. For it is the power of God unto salvation—it brings people to an understanding of their lost state, and their need to be forgiven and saved. It is to everyone that believeth. You see, the power of the gospel transcends generational barriers, and cultural obstacles. It is so powerful that the richest king can be saved, and the poorest pauper can be delivered from his sin. There is no person that is unreachable! They are only unreachable if they chose to be so incorrigible that they will not submit to the wondrous truth of God’s love. Everyone can be saved, for the just shall live by faith. They only need simple faith in Jesus Christ, that they may be saved from sin. Therefore, every person must hear this news!

To the Jew first, and also to the Greek, this gospel of Christ is effective. It is good for the Jew to believe in His Messiah, and it is effectual in the Gentile who believes in the Savior of the world. It did not stop with God’s people of Israel. Christ came unto His own, and His own received Him not. Therefore, the gospel has turned to the Gentiles. And praise the Lord that we have been granted full access to the gospel! Every person alike, of every clime, time, creed, and station has been granted this admission. We all come to God the same way! Regardless of race or ethnicity or pedigree, the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation.

Therefore, the apostle says, I am not ashamed. Oh, dear friend, let us not be ashamed to tell this glorious gospel to those about us, for they need to hear and know. They need this power of God! They need this great salvation! Have we forgotten this? Are we afraid to talk to strangers of others types? Are we afraid to share the love of Christ with a lost world? Let us lay aside the fears; let us lay arise our pride, shamefulness, and sensitivity, and let us boldly proclaim. Should we be kind and gentle? Most certainly we should! We should be respectful to the lost, but we must tell them the truth of Christ. May God grant us this boldness, to speak the truth in love! For we must not be ashamed of the gospel of Christ!

“Father in Heaven, we first praise Thee for the gospel of Jesus Christ that has saved our souls, and transformed our lives. We thank Thee for the power of the gospel that is for every soul in this world. Help us now to unashamedly and lovingly give the wonderful news to others in our path. May we never be ashamed of that gospel that has so miraculously and amazingly saved us! And we praise you for helping us. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.”
