Job 16:19

Also now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high.

There are many and daily things for which we lose records for. I may have no record of a conversation I had with a person other than the partial memory of it. I may have no record of a purchase I made, no witness to something someone said to me or I said to them. There may seem to be no vindication, no proof, no exoneration for our guiltlessness and impunity in a certain case. Indeed, earthly records may be wrong. Injustice can be real! A judge may wrongly impute sin on a person. Someone may be falsely accused, falsely prosecuted, counted as vile, when they are, in fact, pure. Someone’s record may never be straightened out, never cleared on this earth. A Christian may be called a blasphemer; a faithful follower of Jesus Christ may be counted for an insolent breaker of the law. But all these and many others besides are only earthly records. Earthly records may be inaccurate, misleading, errant, and even deceitful. But, my dear friend, there is one thing of everlasting consolation. And that is that there is a record on high, that we have an accurate, complete, and truthful witness in Heaven! My witness is in Heaven! I may have no witnesses on earth. I may be struggling and sighing in misery and loneliness because no one knows the truth. But wait! There is one who does! My witness is in Heaven, and my record is on high!

And now, my dear friend, are you misunderstood, maligned, or inaccurately judged? Worry not over such things. Did not Joseph receive harsh and undeserved judgment for a false accusation? Did not the saints and prophets of old share with one another in the malicious accusations of a lying world? Were they not constantly “the offscouring of all men?” And what of Christ, our blessed and faithful Redeemer? Was He not continuously and falsely accused? And did He not answer nothing? He has set an example, that we should follow His steps. He did no iniquity, neither was guile found in His mouth. He reviled not again. But He committed Himself to Him that judgeth righteously. There is One who always judges righteously, because He is the One with the record. He has the annals of history meticulously and accurately inscribed in the courts of Heaven. Not a thing is lacking! And every event, word, and deed of your life is recorded before Him. He is your witness!

Others may not know your pain, your battle, or your continual and inward struggle. Oh, but my friend, always know that you have a witness! Others do not have to know it all! But as Job did, pour out your tears before God! Others may scorn you, but God knows! Others may never understand, but remember, no one understands like Jesus! Your witness is in Heaven! Your record is on high! Speak to the Lord about this truth, and thank Him today that He knows all!

John W. Peterson had it right:

No one understands like Jesus.
He’s a friend beyond compare;
Meet Him at the throne of mercy;
He is waiting for you there.
No one understands like Jesus
When the days are dark and grim;
No one is so near, so dear as Jesus–
Cast your ev’ry care on Him!

No one understands like Jesus;
Ev’ry woe He sees and feels;
Tenderly He whispers comfort,
And the broken heart He heals.
No one understands like Jesus
When the days are dark and grim;
No one is so near, so dear as Jesus–
Cast your ev’ry care on Him!

 No one understands like Jesus
When you falter on the way;
Tho’ you fail Him, sadly fail Him,
He will pardon you today.
No one understands like Jesus
When the days are dark and grim;
No one is so near, so dear as Jesus–
Cast your ev’ry care on Him!

“Thank you, dear Jesus, for understanding us, and knowing all things, when others don’t. Thank you that all things are recorded in Heaven for us, and that we have a witness in Thee. When we have this, why do we need anything else? Thank you for this exceedingly encouraging truth. In Jesus’ name we pray and praise you, Amen.”

    Two of the greatest things you can know is “Jesus Loves Me” (this I know, for the Bible tells me so) and” No One Understands Like Jesus”!!
