Job 12:9

Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?

There is one thing that all creatures great and small declare in unanimity. There is one thing that is proclaimed in absolute harmony and perfect chorus. And that is that all things are wrought by the hand of the Lord. The hand of the Lord hath wrought this! Who knoweth not? Just ask the beasts of the earth. Enquire of the fowls of the air. Commune with the fishes of all our great oceans, and one answer will be given without exception. They shall teach thee! They shall tell and declare unto thee! For there are none that do not understand this truth. There are no creatures that are unconscious of this universal fact—that God’s hand hath done it all. The only ones who say not these things are those who are ignorant —willingly ignorant! It is only mankind, who after their hardness and impenitent heart treasureth up wrath against the day of wrath. For they do not like to retain God in their knowledge. How tragic this is! Why will not mankind in unison agree with the unanimous message of nature? They are without excuse! They know better! They just don’t like it!

Oh, but let us now think for a moment. Have we considered that all things great and small in the life of God’s precious child are wrought by His hand? Have we pondered the truth of His working in our own lives? Have we given thought to the abundant evidence that suggests the handprint of our Savior on our lives? Or have we tragically become ignorant of this grand reality? Dear friend, cease from viewing anything as happenstance or randomized fortune. Look at all things as a bestowal from God’s marvelous and strong hand! What a great difference this would make! What a powerful impact this would make! Oh, may the Lord help us to see this today!

Will you take a moment and thank God for His loving hand in your life, and will you look for His fingerprints throughout this day? His fingerprints are there. We must not be oblivious but ever cognizant of His involvement, His care, and the intricate fashioning of His hand. For in all these things, the hand of the Lord has wrought it!

“Father, we come to you now, asking you to help us to recognize and always be aware of the work of your hand in our lives. Every day, we know that you are working for our good. Oh, may we see this in the history of our past, the events of our present, and the path of our future! May you always be the chief master worker of all our ways. We thank you for all that your hand has wrought. We yield to your hand, and we trust your working this day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
