Deuteronomy 32:4

He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

The simple statements of this verse are profound, life-changing, and revolutionary. Yet, these are the very truths that our minds and hearts wrestle against. For we go to other sources to find a Rock. We don’t fully believe that His work is always perfect. We doubt that all His ways are judgement, and that He is true, just, and right in all that He does. We may verbally ascribe this freely to Him, but our hearts tend to deceive us otherwise. And therefore, doubts spring up, and sorrow may fill our hearts. But, oh my friend, if we would place every cell of our body, and every molecule of our being into this one verse, much sorrow would be removed, and much concern would be mitigated. Unnecessary fears would vanish as the dew of the morning. Much of our worries and anxious thoughts would evaporate as the waters of the sea. Many of the things that we become concerned with, bewildered by, and discouraged because of, would no longer be of pertinence or import. We would live free! We would live without worry or concern! We would be unshackled and unbound by the things which once help us in their iron grip. For our Lord Himself said, that if we know the truth, it shall make us free! And if the Son shall make us free, we shall be free indeed! What if you could be free? What if we could be no longer bound by our emotions?? What if no anxiety or fear would alarm us any longer? We would be close to the heavenly realm. We would be as free as a falcon released from its confinement. It would be like a ravenous dog released forever from its cage. Because what a cage is fear! What a prison is worry! But, it is all an unnecessary imprisonment. For the Lord desires to make us free indeed!

My friend, the greatest concept that can liberate you today is that the Lord is your Rock! Stand, lean, and rest upon Him! His work is perfect! Nothing He does is wrong! He is working with all things for our good and for His glory. Everything He does is righteous, holy, and pure. Every thing He works in your life is by no mistake, happenstance, or accident. It is purposefully designed for the greatest end, to bring peace and not evil. All His ways are judgment. And that judgement is predicated in His own character. It is founded in His nature-His nature of perfection and wisdom! He is a God of truth and without iniquity! There is no iniquity in Him. This is easy to understand, but is transformational to ponder. Think of anything, yea, of all things in your life. And as you consider it, you will see that there is no iniquity in Him. In all things, just and right is He!

Now, beloved, let me leave you with this thought upon which you and I need to give silence and meditation. Do we truly believe He is just and right? Do we really believe there is no iniquity in Him? Do we sincerely believe that His work is perfect? If we do, what is the problem? Problems disappear at this profound and powerful pronouncement. All of a sudden, every apparent difficulty is extradited from us and given to His jurisdiction. For that is where it belongs, my friend! Leave it there, for His work is always perfect!

“Dear Lord, we know that your ways are perfect, and your working is just. But Lord, we forget to remember this every day. As you have kindly reminded us for our own encouragement, we take it from Thee as a fresh balm for our bodies, and a pure tonic for our souls. We trust that Thou wouldest make us free through this understanding today. We thank Thee that all that Thou doest is pure and right. We trust fully in Thee, and choose this day to rejoice in Thy goodness, Thy righteousness, and Thy truth. In Christ’s name we pray, and for His sake, Amen.”

I am helped very much by today’s devotional, to let go and let God, because He has everything already worked out perfectly.
